Throughout the summer of 2023, I spent one month traveling Western Europe on an industrial design and landscape architecture research trip focusing on design in the built environment. I quickly became interested and intrigued by water features and fixtures and continued studying, observing, discussing, and sketching them throughout the remainder of our trip. An exciting highlight of the trip was when our team visited the LEGO Group in Denmark, and I was able to present and discuss my research of how water facilitates and encourages play in various forms. In my research documentation book I discuss many of the themes and topics that I found from observing the built environment and how we interact with water fixtures.
